Travancore — we're a short tram ride north
From the little enclave around Travancore Park, six stops on the 59 brings you straight to our Eddy Street door.
Travancore is one of those Melbourne pockets people drive through without realising — a small enclave between Flemington and Ascot Vale, anchored around Travancore Park and Mount Alexander College, with the 59 tram threading right through it. If you live here, you already know how convenient that tram is — it's the same line that drops you a minute from our clinic.
Our typical Travancore client lives near the park, works in or near the CBD, and has tried the bigger inner-city massage chains and found them rushed and impersonal. We're the opposite — small clinic, a real conversation with your therapist about what's actually bothering you, and a blended Traditional Chinese acupressure plus Western remedial approach that targets both the pattern and the specific muscle.
If you work from home in Travancore (and a lot of our clients here do), the desk-and-laptop tension pattern is something we see every day: locked-up upper traps, mid-back tightness, headaches creeping up the side of the skull. The acupressure layer in particular helps with that.

Why Travancore residents look north
On the 59 line, no transfers
The same tram that runs past Travancore Park runs straight to Moonee Ponds Junction — six stops, around 12 minutes, no transfers. Easier than dealing with city traffic and easier than the more crowded inner-city clinics around Lygon Street.
Small clinic, real attention
Travancore itself is small and tight-knit, and so are we. You'll see the same handful of therapists and they'll remember what worked last time. No franchise-clinic rotation through twelve different practitioners — your treatment plan stays consistent across visits.
Built for the work-from-home body
Tech and creative workers from the Travancore high-rises make up a real chunk of our clientele. The combined acupressure plus remedial session targets exactly the pattern that builds up when you spend 50 hours a week at a desk — upper traps, levator scapulae, jaw, eyes, mid-back.
Coming from Travancore
By tram: The 59 stops right on Mt Alexander Road through Travancore. Ride north past Newmarket and Ascot Vale to Moonee Ponds Junction — about 12 minutes. From the junction, walk two minutes down Hall Street to Eddy Street.
By car: Up Mt Alexander Road, right onto Hall, left onto Eddy. Around six to eight minutes outside peak. Free 2-hour street parking is usually available right outside on Eddy or Hall. Moonee Ponds Central has paid undercover parking with the first hour free — useful for longer sessions or Saturday afternoons.
On foot: A 30-40 minute walk through Ascot Vale if the weather's good — a few of our regulars do it on Sundays as part of their wind-down.

Common questions from Travancore clients
Is the 59 tram really the easiest way from Travancore?
For most of Travancore, yes. The 59 runs along Mt Alexander Road through the suburb and continues straight to Moonee Ponds Junction — six stops, no transfers, around 12 minutes. Faster than driving during peak, and you skip the parking question entirely. From the junction it's a two-minute walk to our Eddy Street door.
I work from home in Travancore — what's the best session?
For desk-bound workers we usually suggest a 60-minute combined acupressure and remedial focused on upper traps, neck, shoulders and mid-back. The pressure-point work releases the chronic pattern, and the remedial layer targets specific knots. Many of our Travancore regulars book monthly to keep on top of it rather than waiting until the headaches start.
How long does the trip take from Travancore?
Twelve to fifteen minutes by tram including the short walk from Moonee Ponds Junction. Six to eight minutes by car outside peak hours, longer between 8-9am and 5-6:30pm when Mt Alexander Road gets busy. From the southern end of Travancore near the hospital, it's slightly longer; from the northern end it can be quicker.
Do you do home visits in Travancore?
No, we work only from the clinic. Honestly, the result is better here — a heated treatment table set up properly, the right oils on hand, and the body mechanics of our acupressure work need a specific table position that's hard to get right on a portable. Twelve minutes on the 59 tram, and you get the proper experience.
