Brunswick Massage — Worth the Ten-Minute Drive
Sydney Road has no shortage of massage. Brunswick locals cross to Moonee Ponds for our Chinese acupressure and remedial blend — from $50, open seven days.
Brunswick is a suburb that asks a lot of its bodies. Long days behind a hospitality bar on Sydney Road, hours hunched over a laptop in a Lygon Street studio, kilometres clocked on the bike between Jewell Station and the city — it all adds up in the shoulders, lower back and forearms. At eWellbeing, we see a steady stream of Brunswick clients dealing with exactly those patterns.
We'll be straight with you: Brunswick has plenty of massage within walking distance, so a clinic in Moonee Ponds has to earn the trip. Here's why ours does. A focused 30-minute acupressure session on the back or legs starts at $50, and the menu runs wider than most single-style studios: whole-body acupressure at $105, reflexology, hot stone massage from $85, assessment-based remedial therapy, and combination sessions up to two hours. Our therapists blend traditional Chinese acupressure — pressure points, meridian work, sustained holds — with Western remedial techniques like trigger-point release, in the one session.
The trip itself is easier than the Upfield line would suggest. There's no direct train, but by car it's ten to fifteen minutes: from central and north Brunswick, west along Moreland Road and then south down Pascoe Vale Road; from the southern end, Brunswick Road continues as Ormond Road and brings you out at Mount Alexander Road. The 508 bus runs along Victoria Street through Brunswick straight to Moonee Ponds Junction, a few minutes' walk from our door at Shop 2/8 Eddy Street — and if you drive, free two-hour parking on Eddy Street beats circling Sydney Road.

Why Brunswick clients cross the creek
Two traditions in one session
Our therapists are trained in both Chinese acupressure and Western remedial massage. We don't pick one approach and stick with it — we read what your body needs that day and blend techniques to match. It's a deeper, more thoughtful session than a standard rubdown.
A wider menu than a walk-in studio
Acupressure from $50 for a focused 30 minutes, whole-body sessions at $105, reflexology, hot stone up to 90 minutes, remedial therapy and two-hour combination treatments — one roof, one booking. Most Brunswick studios specialise in one style; we match the treatment to what your body needs on the day.
Seven days, real parking
We're open every day of the week, until 7pm on Thursdays and Fridays and through Sunday afternoons — useful when you're on hospitality hours. Free two-hour street parking on Eddy Street means the appointment takes an hour of your day, not an hour plus twenty minutes hunting for a park off Sydney Road.
Getting here from Brunswick
Driving is the quickest way across. From central and north Brunswick, head west along Moreland Road, then turn south down Pascoe Vale Road to Moonee Ponds Junction — ten to fifteen minutes in normal traffic. From the southern end, Brunswick Road continues as Ormond Road and lands you at Mount Alexander Road, close to the clinic. Free two-hour parking on Eddy Street and the surrounding side streets is generally easy to find outside Saturday-morning shopping hours.
Without a car, the 508 bus runs along Victoria Street through Brunswick directly to Moonee Ponds Junction (the 506 from Glenlyon Road and Dawson Street ends there too), and from the Junction it's a few minutes' walk to Shop 2/8 Eddy Street. The Upfield line doesn't connect across, so skip the train unless you're already coming through the city. Give us a call on (03) 9317 5656 if you'd like help picking a treatment.

Common questions from Brunswick clients
What's the best way to get from Brunswick to your clinic?
Driving is quickest — ten to fifteen minutes, either west along Moreland Road and down Pascoe Vale Road, or from the southern end along Brunswick Road, which continues as Ormond Road through to Mount Alexander Road. If you're not driving, the 508 bus along Victoria Street stops at Moonee Ponds Junction, a few minutes' walk from the clinic. There's no direct train from Brunswick's Upfield-line stations, so the bus or car beats rail here.
I'm a cyclist who commutes from Brunswick — what do you recommend?
For regular riders we usually focus on the lower back, glutes, IT band, hip flexors and neck — the chain of tightness that builds up from drop-bar riding and long climbs. A remedial session with acupressure work on the lower back and legs is a good starting point. Many Brunswick cyclists book in fortnightly during peak riding season.
Why travel to Moonee Ponds when Sydney Road has massage places?
Fair question. Three honest reasons our Brunswick clients give: price — focused acupressure starts at $50 for 30 minutes and a whole-body hour is $105; range — acupressure, remedial, reflexology, hot stone and combination sessions under one roof, so your treatment can change as your body does; and logistics — open seven days with free two-hour parking on Eddy Street. If a quick walk-in rub is all you need, stay local. If a stubborn issue hasn't shifted, the ten-minute drive earns its keep.
Can I claim private health rebates at eWellbeing?
Remedial massage is covered by most major Australian private health funds when your extras include it. After your appointment we provide a tax invoice with the provider details your fund needs, and most clients claim through their fund's app in a couple of minutes. Check your extras level and remaining annual limits with your fund if you're unsure.
