Kensington Locals Trust eWellbeing
A short hop up the 57 tram line from Bellair Street to Eddy Street, Moonee Ponds.
Kensington is one of those pockets of inner Melbourne where almost everyone seems to be doing too much. Between desk hours at home offices around Kensington Banks, walking the dog around JJ Holland Park morning and night, and the constant low-grade stress of inner-city life, the body keeps the score. We see a lot of locked-up upper backs, headache-prone necks, and tight hip flexors from people who sit then sprint then sit again.
eWellbeing is a small clinic at Shop 2/8 Eddy Street, Moonee Ponds — a short ride up the 57 tram from Bellair Street or a 10–12 minute drive via Racecourse Road and Mt Alexander Road. We blend traditional Chinese acupressure with Western remedial massage, which means we can address both the structural pain pattern (the trapezius that won't release, the locked SI joint) and the deeper meridian-line stagnation underneath it.
It's a different style to a sports clinic and a different style to a day spa. Most clients describe it as the in-between they didn't know they were looking for.

Why Kensington professionals come to us
Direct on the 57 tram
The 57 from Bellair Street runs straight up through Newmarket and Ascot Vale and stops a couple of minutes from our door. No car needed, no parking stress — easy to slot in after work or before brunch.
Genuinely good for desk-bound bodies
If you spend hours at a laptop, the upper-back, neck and forearm pattern is predictable. Our therapists know exactly where it lives and how to release it — including the acupressure points around the shoulder blade most clinics never touch.
Same therapist, every visit
We're not a franchise. You can book the same therapist each time, so they remember which side of your back tends to flare up and where the old running injury sits. That continuity makes a real difference over six months.
Getting up from Kensington
Public transport is the easy option from Kensington. The 57 tram runs along Racecourse Road and up through Ascot Vale into Moonee Ponds — the stop at Moonee Ponds Junction is two minutes from our clinic on foot. Total trip is usually 20–25 minutes from Bellair Street.
If you're driving, head up Racecourse Road, continue onto Mt Alexander Road, and turn into Eddy Street — about 10–12 minutes outside peak. There's free two-hour street parking right outside. Call (03) 9317 5656 if you'd like us to suggest a quieter time slot, or book online any time.
Common questions from Kensington clients
What's the closest tram from Kensington to your clinic?
The 57 — it runs along Racecourse Road through Kensington, up through Newmarket and Ascot Vale, and into Moonee Ponds. Get off at the Junction stop and we're a two-minute walk down Puckle Street to Eddy Street. The whole trip from Bellair Street is usually about 20 minutes.
Can I claim with my private health fund?
Yes — our remedial massage sessions are eligible for rebates with most major Australian private health funds, provided you have extras cover that includes remedial massage. We use HICAPS so you can claim the rebate on the spot and only pay the gap. Bring your card to the appointment.
I'm new to massage — what's a good first session?
If you've never had remedial work before, we'd usually suggest a 60-minute session and let the therapist do an assessment when you arrive. You can ask for lighter pressure to start — it doesn't have to hurt to be effective. Many first-timers from Kensington come in expecting a spa massage and leave realising the difference real bodywork makes.
Are there evening or weekend slots after work?
Yes — we're open seven days, with evening appointments most nights and full weekend availability. The 6pm and 7pm slots on weekdays book out earliest, so if you're a regular it's worth locking in your next two or three sessions in advance. We can text reminders the day before.
